Hello.
I hear you want to stroll through my garden of tales. Come, I’ll prop open the gate and take you in.
Waltz with me through the magnolias. Their blossoms will wash away the smell of coffee-stained carpet, or whiteboard markers, or diaper powder that clings to you. Creep past the mint. It will boast that it knows where to find the tonic of everlasting life, but it is a terrible liar, and not to be trusted. Whisper your secrets to the dandelions, for they have taken confession from peasants and princes alike and never breathed a word. And always, everywhere, peer closely at the petals, turn over the leaves. This garden rewards those who search. There’s always something more to unearth.
Do you like it? I hope you do. People say that stories nourish the reader, but readers also feed the tales. So, here, lay down. Let the sunlight pour into you, let the damp soil fill your nose, and take one last breath before the roots creep into your lungs.
